Hi All, I, too, use my flash disk all the time. I mean, what good is having a note taker, at least in my opinion, if one isn't able to use this most important feature. I don't always have a CF or SD card with me, and want to have ready access to writing and reading data that won't be lost should a reset need to be performed.
True, I do backup regularly, both with my PK and mPower. However, when I'm out and about, I want to use the note taker, without having to remember to bring along extra media. As to the data loss itself, I've never had any real problems. And, the problems I have had have been on my PK and mostly due to my own error. Although, as with any type of device, things can happen on rare occasions to cause data loss, even if one believes they have done everything to the best of their ability to prevent that action. I have filled my flash disk on the PK too full, thus causing the unit to make the flash disk disappear and then I would have to take measures to restore it, measures that have already been discussed on this list. Then, too, I have typed an email too fast a few times, thus causing a sentence or two to get kind of jumbled up and out of place, and I would then have to go in and fix the email. I've not, so far, anyway, actually lost any email, except for those human errors I've just talked about. I'll keep this in mind though. I suspect we're a lot alike in that I too often write very quickly and am usually in too much of a hurry. *smile* Cheers, Donna ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
