Hello everyone, I will address several posts in this message. With regard to features for those in the UK v. the U.S., the fact is that 7.5 must be released now or before the end of August due to the fact that some major ISP's in the U.S. are requiring Secured Socket Layer (SSL) encription for E-mail. Without this, many BN users who only use their unit, and not a PC, for E-mail would not be able to get their E-mail using the BN after 8-31-07 due to this requirement. There is one Canadian ISP that I am aware of through this list that is going to SSL encription as well. I can bet that this is coming to the UK and elsewhere as well.
With regard to the HTML issue, I would have to agree with Tom Langeon that one. This has been around for years and needs to be dealt with. With regard to the Word issue, this is more complicated than many of you might realize and more so than I understand;but the fact is that this is a microsoft issue and HW is working with Microsoft on this matter. The problem, as I understand it, is the changing document format for Word with each version. Anyone else who was at the ACB convention when this was discussed can feel free to chime in on this issue. With regard to issues related to the deaf-blind, it was announced at the ACB convention by Richard Mander , CEO of Humanware, that there is work going on with the university of Washington on a deaf-blind communicator. As the work is going on in Washington state, I have to believe that this is where it will come out first. In fact I believe that this was mentioned at convention. Mr. Mander spoke on Sunday night and the audio can be listened to at the acb website. Take care.
