Excuse me, but I have a new mPower and the only manuals folder I have is on the Keysoft System Disk. Anyhow my user guide's working properly so far. ----- Original Message ----- From: "stephen" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hi Cindy,

I don't know, but two things:-

Is this section in your chapter 02 in the manual folder in Keysoft system disk? After my BN transplant, I had a rather broken version of the manual files, table and index left on Flash disk.
I think the working version was on the system disk.
I can't remember why, but the HW guy asked if I had GPS--that might want a Flash disk manual folder or something. Also, I had to delete the Flash disk manual folder and files, and perhaps at least the files on system disk, then reset--make sure with HW.

I would try calling HW and directly telling them about the issue.

Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] complaint about manual, who to send to

Does anyone know who the current person is that we need to send
complaints
about the manual to?

Under the battery section under manual recalibration it simply
says the
section is not available. Also, using the index, I could not
find
directions for entering Support Information Mode. Luckily I did
have the
support information mode information under my how to folder in my
braillenote folder but it would have been much easier to get this
information directly from the BN.

I have to say that my biggest complaint about my BN would be the
manual
habitually leaves out steps. I'm not referring to the completely
missing
section above but the fact that after the getting started chapter
they tell
you you can jump around to any chapter and start learning there.
This
really isn't true since they like to leave out how to do some of
the steps.
It may be repetitive but if you are to be able to go any where in
the manual
you should have all the steps. A made up example (since I'm not
going to
pull out my manual at the moment for a real example) would be on
recalibration. Step 1 would tell you to go to Support
Information Mode.
However, they would leave out how to actually get to Support
Information
Mode and jump directly to press R for Battery Recalibration.

Cindy
