Thanks Christopher, but it is not that simple. As I said, I can get
a good internet connection from a laptop, so the data plan is OK, as
are phone modem and network. As I still haven't resolved this, may
I ask another question to everyone. Have you successfully made an
internet connection via Bluetooth using an additional modem string?
As I've also said, it seems to be the additional string, which the
network requires, which is not being accepted by the PK.
Best,
Peter

Hello,
This is a easy one as this happened to me when I setup my accout to

you don't have a plan with your company data plan - ATT -
Hope this helps
Christopher found, dials and connects, but
then gets disconnected. That is the mysterious part. If nobody
on
the list knows, who is the best Humanware support person to
contact with this?

Peter,
When you get the "cannot ffind port" message you want to make
sure that
bluetooth is on the PK and N70 and that it is "paired and active"
under
bluetooth connectivity. I am using my Nokia 6682 on the ATT&T
service with
my PK successfully, it will drop and turn bluetooth off on the PK
if I am
browsing a website that is large or downloading a large file.

Subject: [Braillenote] Internet via Bluetooth
Hi All,
I've been trying very hard for some time now to connect the PK
via
Bluetooth using a Nokia N70, and firstly my thanks to those who
made
suggestions. I've made some progress, and found what seems to
be a
Braillenote-specific problem, but still no joy, so here's a
summary,
hoping somebody can suggest a solution.
Having correctly paired with the phone, and activated the
Bluetooth modem,
using almost all the correct settings given by my mobile
nnetwork
provider, when I try to connect, I have a series of messages as
follows:
"Dialling", "connected", "logging on", "log-on successful",
"disconnected".
This proved that most things are in place, and the PK is
connecting with
the Bluetooth modem OK. Thinking there might still be a problem
either
wwith the phone or the network, I set up a Bluetooth internet
connection
from a laptop. I got a similar result, but then discovered
that an
additional modem string was required. This allowed the laptop
to get a
good Internet connection, so phone and network are working OK.
Now, as soon as I enter the additional modem string into the PK,
(being
careful to use computer Braille with all the correct
characters), when I
then try to connect, I get the message "Cannot find the port".
In other words, it seems that entering the additional modem
string
somehow breaks the connection with the modem.
Does anybody know what is going on here and what I can do to
solve it?
All the best,
Peter
