Yes, I've had the same loss of speech with my PK, practically ever since I've had the unit. And, as with others, I do just live with it, and then do the c 3 and c 4 reset
to get the PK talking once again.

I find a bit more annoying, though, to be typing an email and then be popped out of it and back in the list of emails. But, it does appear that HW has at least made this issue a bit easier for us. For, a couple KS versions ago when I was knocked out of the email message I was composing, I would lose that entire message, no matter how long or short its content. Now, though, when I'm dropped out of composing a message, that message which I was typing then shows up in the drafts email folder. And, I only lose, at most, maybe a word or two or three of what I was trying to write.

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] PK Speech keeps stopping

First, I added the "PK" to the subject line as I'm only aware of
this on PK
units.
I have a co-worker who is also seeing this and getting quite
frustrated.
She was a life-long Braille-N-Speak user until this last year.
She too is learning to live with it. However, this is not
acceptable. I
also have a PK and see it happening often, but not as often as
she is.
When anyone, government or private citizen, spends $5,000 for a
device they
are going to depend on, it shouldn't be this unstable.
She is a faster braillist than I am, which I suspect is why she
experiences
it so much more.

But, Humanware seems les than interested in doing anything about
it other
than telling people to slow down their keystrokes.

Sad, as when other devices become similarly portable; Humanware
is going to
see a mass exodus.

Richard
