When you were setting up the connection, after filling in the user name and
password, did you go on down through the configuration setup and change the
wait for dial tone to no?

Subject: [Braillenote] BN and Cingular Revisited

Hi,
Since I was able to get unlimited Internet access with Cingular a couple of
days ago, I followed the procedure shown below for setting up my BN MPower
and my 6682. The procedure, provided on the list by Kevin Chao, is as
follows.

Okay, I followed the procedure to the letter, except that instead of
entering wap.cingular as my configuration name, I simply called it wap.
So here's the deal. I've got the 6682 paired with the braille Note. When I
go into Keyweb, type a web address and select the appropriate connection
configuration, the phone beeps and a bluetooth window pops up, and I press
the joystick on the phone in to clear the dialog. After a pause, I get a
message on the BN saying that the system cannot find the port. Make sure
that the modem is connected. It seems to be, as I checked under bluetooth
and it shows the 6682 as paired and active. At other times when I do this,
there's just a long pause, followed by the same message. Evidently I've
screwed up somewhere here but I have no clue what I did wrong.
Any ideas?
.
Thanks,
Tom
