Hi Kevin,

It is very nice to see that you went through the hoops and got everything
set up with your BrailleNote and 6682. You will be able to
get the EDGE, but this will be very rare, download speed can be anywhere
from 20-200 KBPS.
It really is only useful downloading emails and maybe files of 1-2 MB at
most.
That's what I figured. I recognize that it's not going to be the be-all
end-all Internet solution, but I set it up for a couple of reasons. First,
ever since I first heard about it, I'd been intrigued by the idea of using
the cell phone as a modem for Internet access. I love a good challenge and,
where possible I'm not going to let some machine beat me. Second, there
have been times when I'm out on the road somewhere and would really like to
get on the web for one reason or another but can't get access to an ethernet
network or a handy hot spot. I do Braille Note training and some of my
clients want to learn how to use the BN or VN for web access and e-mail, so
this opens up that possibility when we're somewhere without ethernet or
wireless connectivity.
