Overall stability is improved in 7.5. What you will get as a classic user (I think you said you are going from 6.11):
text games
database manager
significant enhancements to the calculator, such as fractions and statistics
UEB support
open files in directory mode in the file manager
better KeySync application
updated Duxberry Braille translator

You will not be able to read daisy books, use playlists, play files other than mp3, and more that I am forgetting (but I am sure that features have slipped my mind as well).

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Upgrading to M-Power

Greetings all! Thanks again to all who responded to my questions
regarding
my upgrade to the M-Power. I have read through the extended
service
contract information on the Humanware website as suggested, and
found it
interesting , to say the least. However, upon reevaluating my
options, I
have decided to simply upgrade Keysoft to version 7.5 first, and
at some
point down the road, when our finances are a little more
comfortable, I will
contact Humanware to determine what options will be available at
that time
to upgrade the hardware. While this may not seem like the most
logical
approach to some, to put it simply, it is what I can afford at
the present
time. And quite frankly, if I don't change something about my
current BN
situation, it will continue to merely collect dust in it's case,
which I
think is a real shame.

So, I suppose my only question now is, are there any folks on the
list who
might be willing to share their experiences with upgrading just
the software
on the BN BT? I'm curious as to how stable it will be. I am
also curious
about what functionality will be added, as well as unavailable
due to the
post-dated hardware. For instance, would one be able to read
Daisy books
with the new software, or is this feature only available on the
full-fledged
M-Power? What, if any, new features or programs have you enjoyed
with the
new version of Keysoft?

Thanks again, and I would like to say that I have really enjoyed
this list
thus far.

Jenny
