Dear Tina and List:

Yes, if you have a battery store that will replace soldered-in
batteries and will guarantee they won't damage your equipment
then by all means go for it.

Just be certain you tell them how much a unit like the one you
are having the battery replaced on sells for so they can't say
they only cover replacement of equipment up to say $100 or
something.
