I think the best way is a replaceable battery, like the sense notetakers use. If your battery needs replacing, order a new one from hw and, when you get it, throw the old one out or send it back (if they have some kind of redemption program to properly dispose of their batteries).

Have a great day,
Alex

If Humanware is taking a customer vote, count my vote for this
idea. Being
able to get repairs done locally would, I believe, save all of
us, both the
BN users and the Humanware company a lot of time, trouble and
money.

Hi All:

This kind of thing with battery changing is exactly one of the
reasons I
am an advocate for places around the country and in other parts
of the
world to be trained and licensed by Humanware and other blindness
companies to be able to do repair work. As I think I've said
before on
this list, it would be much more convenient for a person to be
able to
take, with authorization from Humanware, their product into a
local or
somewhat local (within 50 miles) place to get repairs done. And,
they
wouldn't have to be without their units as long.

Thanks,
