I have never used Window-Eyes so did not know that. Yes you can
feel it in braille, but (A) I use speech for reading email (as I
am sure many others do) and (B) in both JAWS and, I assume, WE
this reading all-caps words in a different pitch is disabled by
default. When you say the asterisk does not translate, what do
you mean? I have never had trouble with it. Another alternative
is also the less-than / greater-than signs.
