Hi Terri:

The sales tax debacle is interesting and can be mind boggling. If a company HAS A PRESENCE in a particular state, IT MUST COLLECT that state's sales tax. For example, Humanware HAS SOME KIND OF PRESENCE in Denver, Colorado; therefore, it MUST COLLECT both the State of Colorado and the City and County of Denver sales taxes!

I once ordered flowers from ProFlowers; they claimed to have a presence in Colorado and charged sales tax even though ProFlowers is located somewhere in Wisconsin.

You know, politicians never cease to come up with stuff they can't police efficiently, that's their job and it seems to me that that is what we elect them to do time and time again.

Sincerely,
Olusegun
Denver, Colorado
