Hello,

Try exercising your braille display.

To exercise your braille display,

1. Go to the options menu.
2. Press space with I. The Braillenote should prompt support information mode. 3. Press x and the Braillenote will say, exercise the braille display and the braille display will begin moving. 4. TURN your Braillenote over up-side-down for about 15 to 30 minutes.
5. Now, let's see if this works.

Yup, tried all the resets.
I wonder if I can still download ks7.2 cause I don't think I have
it any more.
Have you ever had the problem where dots start disappearing from
the display.

Hi, Sean here, have you tryed to do the "service" reset. that
is both the
record and reset buttons held down till the chime starts?this
can sometimes
fix the problem. I have a transplanted braille display as well,
and this is
what I use. the people at the tech support offices told me that
it can work
for a month, a day, or even a year before messing up again. I
had to do this
service reset a few times, but the display has been working now
non-stop for
about a month and a half now. if this problem happens to
offten, then I
would
reinstall the software. one of my friends did this and had
total success in
getting the display to work again. I do hope this all helps.

Hi folks, I'm having the "braille display is not active" problem
with
my transplant. I wasn't aware that this is a known issue with
transplants, and that this is why hw doesn't offer a contract on
them
because of it. More on that later.
Anyway I can't get my display back. I'm wondering if installing
the
firmware again might cause it to come back. This has to be a
software
issue because the braille comes up to say "startink keysoft."
Anyway. Has anyone tried successfully to install the firmware
to get
braille back?
Any thoughts?
Rusty
