Hello,

To calibrate your battery,

1. Press space with o. This will bring you to the options menu.
2. Press i-cord. (space with i.
3. Press r.

The Braillenote should say, battery recalibration.

I'm charging up my battery.

If the battery really needs to be calibrated, go to your options menu and press p for power and battery status.

If your battery level is 57 percent, your ac adapter is off, and your battery needs to be calibrated, the bn will say,
level, 57 percent, adapter off.

Battery reconditioning is recommended.

Hope this made sense.

Okay, is it quite possible that for some reason, your battery is
not
calibrated . I'm doing this from memory as my unit is currently
in the
shop, so I would double check the steps in the user manual.
Press o-chord,
i-chord, a. It will tell you whether or not your battery is
accurate.
Also, if it is not accurate, it should say "battery conditioning
recommended" when you check the charge. There's fancy ways to
recalibrate
the battery (read in manual), but I find just charging all the
way, running
it till it goes flat, plugging it in, then resetting immediately
works fine.
As far as the dictionary problem, I do not have an answer,
but have
gotten that one before. Usually doing another reset will fix the
problem.

HTH,
Nicole

Subject: [Braillenote] A Battery Question

Hello listers,

I am a new Braille note user and have only had my unit about a
month or so.
I have a BT32 M-power and am still learning how to use it.

I've noticed that when I charge the Braille note, I'll turn it on
maybe two
or three days later and the battery has already run down. When I
plug it in
to charge it again, the unit resets itself and I get a message
saying that
the dictionary files were not loaded correctly, or something like
that.
I still haven't had my coffee, so I'm not quite running on all
cyllinders.
I say this because I'm usually pretty good at copying the error
messages, so
I apologize if I seem a bit scattered.

I'd appreciate any help or advice.

Noe Villeda
