I am not sure you can use a bn with a mac. Hopefully someone else can tell you for sure. As far as I know you can only use them with a windows machine.

Subject: [Braillenote] braillenote on an I-mac

Listers, I am planning on getting an i-mac and I would like to be able to eliminate VOICE OVER witch is the defalt screen reader on a mack and instead use my braillenote empower as a braille display. Trouble is, I haven't an idea on how to do it. I know you sink the two devices
but how do you do it, and how do you make sure it works properly?
Thanks.
Please reply to both addresses.
Timothy
