When I looked at it on my computer there were no tables in it.

Maybe your .rtf had some tables or layout in it. You could try converting it to a .txt file on a pc

Subject: [Braillenote] rtf files on apex

Has anyone had a difficult time opening an rtf file using an
apex. I don't remember having a problem with my Mpower. But i
received an rtf the other day and i could open it but none of the
text was there. When I opened it on my computer it was fine.
Thanks
Malaina
