1.  Yes, Apple supports BrailleNote Apex, both USB and Bluetooth.

I agree that the QT and BT are not created equal, or continue to be equal.  On 
the other hand, buying Apple works very well for me, and if I had the choice 
today, I would choose another braille display as not buy Apple.  This is, and 
continues to be, a fault of HumanWare for gratuitously breaking compatibility 
without so much as a note in the What's New file.  It's clearly possible for 
HumanWare to implement the support you need; they just unbreak what they broke, 
and Apple, which upheld its side of the deal, does nothing.  If, however, what 
you're saying is that the BrailleNote is so important to you that you would 
happily give up your choice to use a superior computing platform in exchange 
for the use of KeySoft, then I think we disagree on principle.
