Okay, now I'm confused.  I said it *does* work, but not the QT input.  Just in 
case I turned out to be wrong, I connected it to check - nope, still as before, 
the Mac is no different than, say, Window-Eyes or NVDA or System Access or 
BRLTTY or Hal or Orca ... in short, the problem is the driver to display 
interaction for everything except JAWS, which is the only screen reader that 
had special considerations for QT users, since HumanWare did not correctly 
regress-test and ended up breaking everything else when implementing their new 
QT input functionality.  Even the iPhone - the iPhone! - is affected.  Quite 
simply, QT input is utterly borked, and only the thumb keys and routing buttons 
work.

In any case, yes, take your Apex to the Apple store and try it for yourself.  
You need only plug it in after selecting USB client mode for your terminal 
connection, and you're away.
