I just looked at the EPI case--it sounds almost exactly like the
case my BN came with. Do the cases y'all are using have the
magnet clips?

My thoughts exactly, what happened to me makes me think that,
well, these cases are... how to say this... not the best for a
$6000 product.
Best,

Tom,
Yes, EPI makes a very nice case for the Apex.
Not cheap, but I'm glad I invested in it.
Just my thoughts, but if you are going to sell a very expensive
device like
a Braille Note, then you should also be willing to provide an
equally good
quality case for it.

Hi,
I had a similar thing happen to my Apex case recently;
fortunately I have
a spare one that I'm using right now. I think I'll take the
broken case
to a shoe repair shop or someplace like that where I can get the
leather
re-sewn. Humanware made that part where the strap fastens
really flimsy.
I may also investigate whether or not Executive products makes a
better
case for the Apex. I think they might.

Subject: [Braillenote] apex case
Hello, all. I'm quite upset right now, the reason being that my
apex
strap seems to have completely broken off of the case. When I
went to
take it off my lap to set it on a desk that was near me, I
accidentally grabbed the strap. Hence, it broke off, with the
clip
still attached. So currently, there is no strap on the right
side of
the case, just the leather used to hold it in place.
Is there any way to just get a new strap, or will a new case
just
have to be purchased?
Thanks,
Josh
