Hi, Recently I obtained a few Mpowers for my students. They need to be able to find their spot quickly in books as the class reads them. Is it better to have them read the books in the book reader or in Key Word.
I have been asking them to use Key Word because they can drop a string such as xxx to mark their spot when done reading and easily search for their last save the next day. But there must be a better way. When the teacher says open your book to page 172, I have the kids do a space 126 and jump to that page then search for a string of words where they will begin reading. This is often not fast enough. How do you do it? Are there advantages to using the book reader that I just don't know? Are there any pod casts on using the BN in the classroom that would be helpful? These are 3rd and 6th graders. Appreciate your thoughts and tips. Keith ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender.
