Hi. Hold down dot 3 as you turn the unit on. This will start
with braille only. If you hold down dot 2 in this way, the unit
starts up with speech only. If you hold down both dots 2 and 3,
the unit starts with both braille and speech. This is true with
a BT. I don't know how different a QT would be, but I'm sure
that even if it's different there's still a way to do it.

I remember on the old braille light and Braille and Speak models,

them up whilst holding down the space bar was a very handy method

keeping them silent. Is there an equivalent for the apex qt? It
is a pain to
here, blah blah blah, resuming editing of, blah blah blah, when I
just want
to jot something quickly. It can also be jarring if with
colleagues.
