I'd like to post my own thoughts on notetakers and HW in particular. I've been a Braillenote user since 2002, and have had a classic, an MPOWED, and now an Apex. Since I knew much less in 2002 than I do now, I was very afraid I would buy the wrong notetaker, and since I was buying it, it was crucial to me that I buy the right one. One of the main reasons I bought a product from HW was that the learning curve was so much lees steep than it would have been for any other notetaker then on the market. I knew immediately that I could learn to use my Braillenote, and since no training was available to me, this was important. Is HW perfect? Of course not. I've had my frustrations just like everyone else. Are there things that my Apex doesn't do that I wish it did. Absolutely. However I love my Apex and I would be lost without it. It has enriched my life and think Hw has done a great job. I know there are other notetakers out there, and everyone is free to make their own choice. However, I do have to say that I get tired of hearing the HW bashing on the list. If people don'tl their Apex or don't like HW, tell them so, and buy something else. Hw is not perfect, but I suspect if you talked to people who have other notetakers, you'd find that the companies that make their notetakers aren't's perfect either.
