I have not usually had problems with lost data but the other evening, I had downloaded quite a number of things to the books folder on the keysoft disk. I was going somewhere and perhaps forgot to turn off the unit. The next morning, to my horror, the battery had run down and the unit had frozen which isn't horrifying in itself. But, everything was gone from my books folder except A Christmas Carol. I was preparing a draft of a research paper and fortunately, my sister was able to go over to my house and email me things from my desktop that I needed to finish it while away on vacation. I usually don't store important things on the system disk. It's meerly temporary storage until I can transfer things to my storage card. The books folder just happens to be what comes up first when transferring from K1000 to the BN using ActiveSync. Just hope that doesn't happen again and wonder if anyone else has experienced data loss from the battery running flat.
