Thanks Jonathan. That definitely helps narrow these things down. Thankfully, one of the phones I'm looking at is on the CDMA system. Now I just need to find whether it has an IR port or not.
An additional question on this: if I do proceed and purchase this CDMA phone with the IR port, will I need to switch my ISP services from dial-up to broadband? How does all that work? Or, do you sign up for service through the cell company itself? I would welcome comments from anyone who has this setup.
