Hi Donna,
The BrailleNote does not start up reliably with a micro drive in the slot
when you power it up. Remove the card, power up the BrailleNote and then
put the micro drive card in. This should solve your problem.

Sometimes, after my Braillenote has been switched off for a while (this
has ranged from as little as 30 minutes to as much as 24 hours) it does a
complete reset for no readily apparent reason. I switch the Braillenote
on and it just beeps and resets itself. Even the clock has to be reset
and my spelling dictionary is always lost, which means I have to re-install it.
I am running the latest version of Keysoft, and have a compact flash card
in the back slot of the Braillenote and a microdrive in the side slot.
If anyone can give me any suggestions as to what might be going on here I
would be very grateful.
