Hi Doug, Thanks very much for this info, it certainly helps. I just called my ISP's tech support and that's more or less what I was told. The guy also said that he didn't think their network would work with a PDA, as it uses the TCP/IP protocol and he didn't think that was supported by PDA's. I don't know whether that aplpies to the BrailleNote.
Would it help if I were to install a network here at home? If so, would I need a hub or a router? I know very little about all this so sorry if I'm not making sense. Thanks again, Nicky ----- Original Message ----- From: "Doug Lawlor" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Monday, November 24, 2003 3:46 AM Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Problems connecting via Ethernet cable modem > On Sun, Nov 23, 2003 at 08:39:08PM +0100, Nicola Sanders wrote: > > Hi all, > > > > > had assumed that I could unplug the ethernet cable from my PC, connect it to > > the BN and establish a connection, but so far I have been unsuccessful.
