Hi all,

Yes, agreed. Too often you just want to read that article your mate
emailed you the URL of.

This introduces two more suggestions:

1. The inverse. Clicking mailto links in the web browser should open
KeyMail and begin the message composition step, by filling in the
recipient. Also, if the URL contains a subject specification, this too
should be filled in. You'll probably note that editing the subject line
is troublesome - you usually have to get it right first time, because
using the cursors can only be done if you are careful.

2. Get URL of current page, and copy it to clipboard. KeyMail's block
menu may then let you deposit an URL from the web browser.

This concludes the required tools for article and memo swapping. Not, I
admit, that I like KeyMail much - it is just a little too far on the
primitive side for me. It also shares way too much familiarity with
Outlook and company.

Oh yeah, and one last thing - believe it or not, the internet has more
than just the web in it, and calling the web browser "Internet" is an
absolute disgrace. Urgh. Did no-one here ever hear of Gopher? Usenet?
UUCP? Hey, give us a Gopher and News client! <Grin> Seriously though,
Gopher would really be at peace with the BrailleNote, because Gopher is,
you guessed it, a menu based structure. I'd develop it for you, only I
don't have the specs. Grrrr! And I aint signing no stinkin' non-
disclosure agreements, either. See messages coming up on these pungent
points.

It probably hasn't escaped anyone's notice here that - for me, at least -
the net very much revolves around email and other such aged technologies,
with the sense of community and shared product, rather than the web and
commercialism. I'd been meaning to consolidate my views on PDI's general
attitude and success, and I will do so shortly, so that you should not be
deprived of what I in particular should feel about the whole BN Vs PM war,
and more.

Cheers,
Sabahattin
