Hi Kirstyn,

I don't think you are, in fact. I see you're using your BrailleNote.
Everyone using BrailleNote's on this list isn't wrapping their lines
properly. Investigations I have done show also that the text in my
emails, when from the BrailleNote, will not be wrapped - even though I can
usually unwrap most lines, my mail transport will not let me have more
than about 300 characters per line, and will absolutely insist upon
breaking up the line and adding a new line, then and there, whatever
happens. So it should, for the good of all. Unfortunately, people's
email split at ugly places, leaving words split and initially
uninteligible.
This is, it's worth saying, not your fault. Even if you set the so-called
page layout or formatting options from KeyWord (it's loaded when you
compose your email), the document seems to be written out as so-called
Paragraph form - CR/LF pairs appear in your document when and only when
you introduce them by tapping an enter, and no amount of fiddling with
margins, wrap settings or whatever else is going to help you much. Either
some strange manifestation hidden within the dark secrets of a sinful
transport is generously formatting everyone's mail by removing extra CR/LF
pairs (and I assure you that not only does mine not do this, but ninety-
five percent of all decent mail transports do not either) or, quite
simply, we have stumbled upon yet another blaring technical fault of
KeyMail.
For the record: it is bad netiquette not to wrap your email! I don't care
if I'm being a net purist or I'm supporting old software or technology -
part of my self-assigned duty is to see that my half of the email system
performs well and to the benefit of all. Most major transports have
internal limits on line length, imposed for historical and security
reasons. Each transport behaves differently - newer ones are not bothered
at all (these normally run on non-*NIX platforms), some do as mine do
which is to force a new line, and some simply trunkate all characters
passed the given limit! My friends in Hungary, who are still using
teletype interfaces to their email on an eighty-by-twenty-five terminal ,
and anyone with a half decent integrated web-browser/email interface like
Mozilla aint gonna be too impressed, either.
PDI: fix it! Even if this comes in the form of a "Use line or paragraph
format when saving the email?" we'll all be happier. Well, I will...
Cheers,
Sabahattin
