Why not let each verse be a sentence by placing one hard return between each verse. Then put two between each chapter. Terri already posted on how to change the bn to sentence mode, so I won't repeat it. Hope this helps. I suppose the other thing you could do is make the pages really long and put a new page marker between each chapter. I wouldn't do that if you ever want to print from that file though. Hope that helps or at least gives you some ideas.
