Keisha, I don't know how much hearing loss you have, but have you ever thought about plugging in a neckloop or FM system into your VN to help amplify the sound? I know a few hard of hearing VN users who have done this and it works pretty well for them. Just a thought to consider until you can get a BrailleNote.
