Hi, Diane and List!

Before my BNQT, I owned a Type Lite. I changed because I wanted something
smaller. I work in a 911 Call Center and carry everything in a backpack to and
from work everyday. My prior unit was too big and cumbersome for comfort. Also,
I never could connect up with my email and the Internet with it.

In my work environment, there is a lot of noise due to the other dispatchers
always talking to one another or on the phones. I needed a small unit that
could sit on a side table (no room on desk due to adaptive equipment and
teleset), so I could utilize just the braille display instead of voice. The
strong casing was another thing that made up my mind to the BN. Also, the
ability to use more than one brand of flash cards, the pcmcia slot, the
infrared port capability, the built-in modem, the touch cursor buttons being
made of that rubber material, and the ability to use cell phones with the BN,
were all very crucial points that I considered.

I am hearing impaired as well as being totally blind and liked the way the BN
behaves with other pc's as well.

Hope this helps.
