Because of my deafblindness, I wanted a notetaker that was completely
accessible to me via its Braille display. At the time my BN was purchased, I
was also looking for a portable notetaker that would allow me to read the
information typed by my captionist in my college classes. The icing on the
cake has been GPS because it allows me to travel independently in familiar
and unfamiliar areas. I can also ride the bus and a take a cab without
worrying about communication issues between me and the driver due to my
deafblindness. The BrailleNote's word processor and e-mail capabilities have
also been a real plus since I'm able to work with the information I put into
my BN without having to navigate through complicated graphics or dialog
boxes.
