Hi Listers,
I will try to explain how I use the BN to do Web Braille. I only know the BT
commands though and no I don't think it's in the manual.
1. The Web site I go to is
www.loc.gov/nls
>From there I go to the link that says search the online catalog.
Then I search for a title, an author, or a keyword choose which type of book I
want like Braille sound recording etc. Then it presents a list of results.
The ones that are available in Web Braille say access volume 1 etc. below the
title and the author and the publisher info. So there's these links to the
volumes. You click on these links downloading one volume at a time. You have
to input your user name and password. If you don't have these you get them
from your state or regional library for the blind you o the one that is
affiliated with Library of Congress the National Library Services organization.
So it downloads this thing that looks like a Web address. You press the save
command and go through the steps of naming the file and which folder you want
it in. It took me awhile to get it. No unzipping of these books they come
already in Braille.
I hope I got this info correct. I hope it makes sense. Anyone who has
anything to add to this please feel free. If corrections need to be made
please make them. I hope this helps. Sorry I didn't number the steps or write
them too concisely.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Lisa
