Brenda:
I'm interested in what Gary does as well, and you just may have started a
new thread!
What say, we all send a mini biography, stating as did someone whoes name
escapes me, has done earlier, stating why we chose a pdi product, so that
we won't upset someone in particular, and if it has changed our lives.
Maybe we could title the subject line, "what pdi means to me".
I'll start.
I'm a very fast braille reader, and for many years, have been greatly
disturbed at the way that it seemed that speech was pushing braille to the
background, what with speech being much cheaper than refreshable braille
displays etc. So, when I started venturing into the world of computing, I
started with a laptop, and a forty cell navigatr from Telesensory.
I did however, discover one drawback, that being that unlike with speech,
in order to edit, one had to take one's hands off of the computer, to edit,
slowing the process down considerably.
Then I discovered dectalk express, and decided that just maybe???? So, I
moved on, to a desk top computer, dectalk express, and of course, my trusty
navigatr.
I am now on my third computer, my navigatr has become outdated, and thus I
arrive as a somewhat lost orphan, at the door of pulse data.
Linda.
