Thanks for the great idea Jim. Sorry about all your losses. How can I copy
a CF card on to another card? Thanks for any imfo ahead of time.
I am just learning how to copy books, so this is just the right time for me
to learn.
I put my bible on an individual CF card, but I guess I could get a bigger
card for storing items I want to keep.

Beth, Last week, with no warning, I lost the equivalent of twelve million
characters from my flash card, having recently very smoothly upgraded to six
point one. No warning was given that the twenty-two folders were being
erased, so that, the next time I tried to access them, it was a real shock.
I lost jokes, poems, sayings, lots of hymns, prayers, some French novels, a
Mozart piano concerto (for the second time), lists of electronic book
websites, etc., etc., etc.

What to do? In both cases, my disappeared folders and your missing
chapters, make two copies of them, either on separate flash cards or within
the BrailleNote itself, giving them slightly different file names. But ...
think a little. If these things didn't happen, what would be the point of
this wonderful BrailleNote list?

Incidentally, to make matters worse, two days ago, in putting right another
fault with the help of a techie, all my 227 e-mail addresses were erased.

So, if you feel it might be useful, or just friendly, passing on your e-mail
address off list, so as not to generate unnecessary list traffic, do please
feel free to do so. I am particularly anxious to contact Richard and
Sarah.

Anyway, Beth, those were my thoughts for what they were worth.

Warm regards,

Jim Taylor.
