Hi rose and Terri
Nice to hear something positive. I start my training next week and with all
these negative stories, it is hard to diside how to copy and save. When I
get my bible, I do not want to lose
it.

I have never lost data on CF cards on either BN and they both have the
upgraded motherboards and are running the latest Key soft version now.

I upgrade them both from a CF card, not Active Sync,.

I am wondering why some people have problems losing data from their CF
cards when the card is plugged in before the BN is turned on and others
don't. Does it happen with all BNs or just those which had new
motherboards put into them and/or upgraded both hardware and software?

I've never had a problem with either my old BN running Keysoft 3.06 and
the old motherboard or the new BN running Keysoft 5.1. Could there be a
link between upgrade BNs and this problem or does it happen to those
with brand new BNs?

Perhaps PDI can jump in here and explain why this problem exists at all?

: I understand. I have never experienced the formatting thing, but I did
: lose the contents of my flash disk twice. And, this is why I always
: store my important files on a compact flash card. That is not
sounding
: like a viable solution either.
: So now, I back everything up to a PC and hope for the best.

: Richard, that's an interesting thought but I tend to think that it's
: just a
: fluke with the BrailleNote and not the brand of flash cards. I've
used

: back up all the time.

: I still haven't gotten over that loss,(smile.)
