Hello, Penny,
Congratulations. I was just stirring the pot a little. Right fnow I am having a problem with my SporTrak. It has no model number, and I just downloaded the wrong Sportrak manual. Grrr!

Humanware has been good to you, I will send them a box of Girl Scout cookies.

Hi Richard,

I did not have that experience.

I called Humanware to request that they ship my upgrade as soon as they could because I anticipated traveling out of town and wanted to have the wireless connectivity available to me.

I talked to Julie who told me to leave a message for Dominic.

That's what I did.

A couple of days later, I received e-mail from Dominic asking me to supply my shipping address.

I sent the info to him and to Julie, and later that day, I got e-mail (and a voice mail message) telling me that the upgrade had been shipped. That was last Monday.

I wrote on Friday - Who me? Impatient? - and asked if they could tell me when it would arrive.

Julie e-mailed me right back and said that the tracking info indicated I would receive it on Monday.

This last Monday, the upgrade arrived in mid-morning.

I read over the instructions, and installed it successfully later that day.

Now I'm just waitiing for the wireless card from Amazon, and hopefully, I'll be set to go.

My experience with Humanware was that they were very responsive to my questions and my requests, and that they tracked my order and were able to tell me when to expect it.

I am very pleased.

Penny

Greetings:
Some of my co-workers have finally received their 6.1 upgrades.
However, not all of the upgrades have been received.
Accordingly, one of my co-workers contacted Humanware. Humanware stated
that there is no tracking done on any upgrade that is sent, therefore no
way to determine whether or not an individual upgrade has been shipped.
They further stated that they were out of stock on upgrade packages, and
that wouldn't have any more for several weeks.
I'm sorry, friends and neighbors, this is no way to run an airline!

Penny,
In the August 2004 Ziegler magazine, there was an article that stated
that
each state has technology assisted program and it gave a phone number to

call in each state.
It stated that the loans were low interest and that they were to be used

to purchase assistive technology. It said you didn't need to be employed

either. So it's just a matter of finding out whom to contact in your
individual state.
