Ray, you actually pry with the screwdriver against the chrome rim of the screen, work a little from each side, and the gasket will come with it. If you bend the chrome a little, just press that part against something hard (tile countertop, porcelain sink, etc.) to reflatten it and then pry from another point next time.

I had a Silvia before which had a little bolt to hold the shower screen in place - it didn't really touch the gasket. The screen was really easy to remove - the gasket was near impossible - you didn't take it out until you needed to replace it because getting it out tended to hack it up pretty badly. I haven't yet removed the screen or gasket from the Brewtus, partly because I don't know how to go about it. It sounds much easier than I feared. The screen is held in place by the gasket, correct? Do you just stick a screwdriver or butter-knife or something in there to wedge the gasket out and the screen comes with it? Any advice appreciated.
