Hey BlaneXOLT, I'm curious why you are needing to tell us all about this? I can't quite figure out your agenda here. Once in a while someone comes along to tell us how terrible our machines are, and your comments sound a lot like that.
We tend to try to help each other solve problems on this list, rather than making open-ended statements about the terrible quality of the machines that aren't helpful. We had a discussion about this in April, and so it is a little odd that you just randomly looked up a photo and started ranting about it now. As an aside, voltage isn't dangerous--amperage kills. I have been shocked by 50,000 volts off an automotive coil many times, and it hurts but isn't dangerous. To your point, while broken power cords are not preferable, it is not a perfect world and this is what GFI circuits are for.
