I have converted my B2 using Fuji PX3 and K-type thermocouple a few months back. Thermocouple is inserted in the same well as the regular temp sensor. PXR3 is signficantlly longer that Gicar controller, so I decided to install it on the side of the machine and keep the original one in place. In order to completely bypass Gicar, its temperature offset has been significantly increased. The parts ran me around 70$.
Frankly, after this mod I have not noticed any significant change in the cup compared to the rotary upgrade which was completed a month ago. No more stale water in the tank, no annoying noise and you get controlled pre-infusion and much better espresso. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
