Hello, Would the T type thermocouple work better than the K type?
  How does changing (increasing) the temp offset work out?  I don't quite 
understand
enough about that part. Do both controllers function, with the PID over 
riding the stock unit?
  Did you use a project box for the PID - I don't see a good way to attach 
to machine?
  My original temp controller is still kicking, but when it goes, I would 
probably upgrade to a PID.  - Dennis
