Well, I got some Dow Corning 111 and it took me about 10 minutes to remove the nuts and the cam and lube everything. Then it took me about 2 hours to put the cam back where it belongs. If I had taken a pic before taking it out it would have bee WAY easier..... :)
Now the lever feels like NEW, I had forgotten how smooth it was. I will definetely do it again. Just in case that you think that coffee oils are enough to lube the cam and the lever take a look to this link which by the way showed me the way to put the cam back in its place. http://coffeetime.wikidot.com/e61-lubrication On Jan 7, 7:24 am, HERMAN <[email protected]> wrote: > i have a brewtus II that i got in november of 2005, it does the same thing > every time i clean with cafiza but it smooths out after a couple of shots. > it's done it since the first time i cleaned it. i doubt it will be a problem. > h > > --- On Thu, 1/7/10, mariowar <[email protected]> wrote: > > From: mariowar <[email protected]> > Subject: Squeaky Lever > To: "Brewtus" <[email protected]> > Date: Thursday, January 7, 2010, 12:48 AM > > My Brewtus III is one year old and the E61 lever started to produce a > squeaky sound.
