Just wanted to post an update... My work on the machine was delayed as I unexpectedly had to leave town for a few weeks.
Unfortunately, a few issues still remain: 1.) I initially removed the mushroom and did find some loose chrome. I scrubbed it off and replaced. I began to flush the brew boiler. I probably flushed it at least three times and still saw the chrome/ shiny particulates in the water. I took the mushroom out once again, thinking I may have missed something. I don't really think I did but I gave it a scrub nonetheless. The only chrome remaining on it is still stubbornly affixed and not coming off with scrubbing. I replaced the mushroom and have flushed out the brew boiler three more time. Still chrome/shiny particulates in the water. Any insight? Should I call WLL? I am at a loss and not sure what to do next... 2.) Steam boiler is coming along nicely and the cloudiness has pretty much disappeared. However, I am getting chrome/shiny particulates in the water when I drain it as well! I even took a clean black coffee cup and drained the steam boiler into it and could see lots of the chrome/shiny particles. What could this be from??? What happened to what was once a perfectly running machine? I thought I was being a good Brewtus owner by descaling. Either the descaling process or the required flushing/draining has opened up a whole can of worms!! Help!!!! Thanks in advance. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group. To post to this group, send email to [email protected].
