herman, i put the kit in my B1 and although working fine, i don't realize
any improvement in shots or procedure. it helps control the overshoot.
also, i don't know if the pid even works to max potential with the 900 watt
heaters. the new ones when they switched to pid controls are 1200 watts.
in short, i would use you new ako for a while at least. - Dennis

okay guys question. the bII's back up and running. New controller and new
thermocouple. Everythings programed and working great. How much difference
does the pid make? I tried monday and today to order the kit but it wasn't
ready. My bII had been idle since last wed or thurs and i was going nuts.
Now that the parts have arrived and everything seems back to normal i'm
having second thoughts. If i had known that the pid kit was going to be
available this soon i would have waited but now that it's all up and running
i'm wondering should i just wait until this controller or thermocouple
fails? ideas? thanks.

Well, that's the same part I had Barry order and it came with the controller
and the sensor. While you don't need to change the sensor, unless you're
going to change to the PID right away, I would just for the overshoot
readings. Barry was surprised the first time he turned it on, set it to 92
and saw the temperature go to 94. the stock controller lies to make you
think it's more stable than it is.
