Help! My Brewtus IIIR will intermittently not heat up when I turn it on in the morning. It powers up, but the heating element does not come on. When this happens, the pump runs and runs (unlike when it is working properly- the pump runs for just a moment then stops when the heater comes on). Maybe this is just voodoo, but if I turn it off, then run water through it (it is direct plumbed and water will passive drip out due to line pressure) for a while, then turn it on again, it works. It seems to me that the machine 'thinks' it is over pressure- the brew pressure gage will typically read > 12 bars at a baseline (with no water running- it goes down if I flip the lever to run water). But I dont think the pressure is really high because the machine has not heated up yet and this has happened when the water intake was in a jug as well as when it is direct plumbed. Does this make sense to anyone? Is it an overpressure valve issue? A pressure gauge issue? a temp gauge issue? Does the machine stop heating if it thinks the pressure is too high? Thanks for any help! (sorry, I also sent this question by email, but then joined the group and posted this)
