Yes, whilst it still works I think I will leave it alone. All I can guess at is until the steam boiler is up to temperature, there is a loose connection/relay/capacitor inside either the PID or the control unit, and when the power is distributed to the brew boiler the connection is remade (PID comes back to life) until the machine is turned off and the cycle starts again...
