The 100 ohm resistor is part of a circuit to protect the relay contacts.

The autofill is controlled by the small parts at the rear edge of the board, away from the connectors. A 14 or 16 pin chip, looks like an LM324 and all those tiny resistors and capacitors.

The part that tends to go on these is the transformer. If you've a meter, check the output of the transformer when cold and warm, should be 12 or 24 VAC, don't remember but probably 12.

Also check the 12VDC out of the regulator for both 12V DC and AC near 0V.

Measure between the hole in the tab and the outside pin of the TO220 package in the back corner, marked IC1 on my spare.

Across C1 should be 15 to 20V DC with a bit of AC to go with it.
