This is an interesting thread on CFGI outlets.

I had an issue a while ago with my Brewtus IV-R. The PID was bouncing 
around all over the place, going from 90 degrees C to 938 back to 60, up to 
400 etc.

I filmed a Youtube video on it and let the dealer, Zcafe have a look at it. 
The first question he has was if I was plugging it into a CFGI outlet. I 
told him I had *just* before the PID started misbehaving. He told me that a 
CFGI outlet can actually damage the PID and should not be used.

When I posted that on another thread, others were saying this is quite 
unlikely. 

In any case, there is no shortage of controversy over the CFGI outlet 
debate.
