Probably a leaking vacuum release on the steam boiler. The release has an
o-ring in it that can either perish from the heat or sometimes get some
calcium on it causing it to leak. If mine starts hissing I usually just
remove the cover and give the pin sticking out at few taps with a wooden
spoon. It will shoot stream out so be careful but this usually serves to
dislodge any calcium build up if that is the problem. Otherwise let the
machine cool down, bleed off any stream pressure and dismantle it to check.
