I wouldn't say normal, as in intended operation, but it's common. The droplets should evaporate before they can do any harm, but if you want it functioning at peak efficiency it's a simple enough fix.

I opened it, it's the vacuum breaker.
I gave it a tap and it's much better (thanks for the advice) but it still leaks very small droplets. Do you think this is normal or should I get the wrench to it and replace the o-ring?

Probably a leaking vacuum release on the steam boiler. The release
has an o-ring in it that can either perish from the heat or
sometimes get some calcium on it causing it to leak. If mine
starts hissing I usually just remove the cover and give the pin
sticking out at few taps with a wooden spoon. It will shoot stream
out so be careful but this usually serves to dislodge any calcium
build up if that is the problem. Otherwise let the machine cool
down, bleed off any stream pressure and dismantle it to check.

        Hi there,

I'm the proud new owner of a 2nd hand brewtus iii-v.
There is periodically a gentle hissing sound coming from the
top right of the machine inside.

I am thinking of opening up the machine to have a look at
what's causing it so decided to go to the file room and look
        at manuals etc.

I'm getting an error message when I try to go there so cannot
        view files.

Any help on hissing noises, files and manuals on home repairs
        is greatly appreciated!
